Did you ever wonder if you would use anything that you learned in elementary school? I did ask this question of myself and came up with an answer myself. Actually, I made a list of the skills that I learned at this level of my schooling and this is what I came up with to share.

  1. Making outlines necessary for writing.
  2. Learning the proper mechanics in grammar and punctuation and spelling.
  3. Checking my basic skills to keep a checking account and showing how my money grows over time.
  4. Reading and the various skills from skimming to asking questions.
  5. Showing interests in other subjects like social studies and history along with science and health topics along with art, music and physical education.

These are just a few skills that I remembered learning at the elementary level and as I progressed in my education from middle school clear through graduate school these few basic skills continued to grow and improve my writing skills for the profession I am now working and the ones that I have worked from nursing and day care to office work.

I am a person who has studied education at all levels and now wants to share what I have learned. Some will be educational and some just for fun like stories.
